What the Media Doesn't Tell Us

"Lindsay Lohan, 24, is all over the news because she's a celebrity drug addict. While Justin Allen 23, Brett Linley 29, Matthew Weikert 29, Justus Bartett 27, Dave Santos 21, Chase Stanley 21, Jesse Reed 26, Matthew Johnson 21, Zachary Fisher 24, Brandon King 23, Christopher Goeke 23, and Sheldon Tate 27, are all Marines that gave their lives this week, with no media mention. Honor them by reposting."

 This was a post from one of my friends on Facebook the other day. I thought that it brings up some very strong points and issues regarding the media. It seems like all that we see on the news is the latest gossip regarding celebrity scandals or arrests and we hardly ever hear news regarding the War that we are still fighting in. It is almost like we have forgotten than many Americans are still risking their lives in the Middle East and all the media cares about is celebrities and entertainment. 

 

I found this Blogg/Website and it is all about honoring those in the Military who have lost their lives and also those who haven't, but are still fighting for our freedom. It offers information and coverage that you will not find from the media news sources.
